Account Workspace Mail Hub

Supported providers

Each mailbox connects using the provider’s approved security method.

The application never asks users to enter a normal Gmail or Microsoft password. Mailbox authorization remains separate from local LinkedIn browser sessions.

G

Google Gmail

Mailbox owners authorize read-only Gmail access through Google OAuth. Account Workspace Mail Hub uses that access only to identify and display user-authorized LinkedIn verification and security messages.

  • OAuth authorization
  • gmail.readonly
  • Disconnect and delete controls
M

Outlook / Hotmail / Microsoft 365

Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live and Microsoft 365 mailboxes connect through delegated Microsoft Graph authorization.

  • Microsoft OAuth
  • Delegated Mail.Read
  • Refresh-token support
Y

Yahoo / Ymail

Yahoo mailboxes connect through encrypted TLS IMAP using a Yahoo-generated app password. Normal Yahoo passwords are not accepted.

  • TLS port 993
  • App-password validation
  • Controlled synchronization
Why mailbox data is requested

Access is limited to the user-authorized Mail Hub function.

The application requests only the provider access needed to classify and display authorized verification, password-reset, confirmation and security messages.

Google Gmail

Permission: gmail.readonly

This permission is required to read message subjects and bodies so the Mail Hub can identify LinkedIn verification codes, password resets, confirmations and security alerts. It cannot send, modify or delete Gmail messages.

Microsoft mail

Permission: delegated Mail.Read

This permission lets the signed-in mailbox owner authorize reading of relevant Outlook/Hotmail or Microsoft 365 messages. The application cannot send or alter messages through this permission.

Yahoo mail

Connection: TLS IMAP with a Yahoo-generated app password

The app password is encrypted and can be removed by disconnecting the mailbox or revoking it from Yahoo Account Security.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Account Workspace Mail Hub’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used only to provide the user-authorized Mail Hub functionality and is not used for advertising, profiling, sale or unrelated purposes.

Operational workflow

Mailbox authorization, account mapping and local sessions remain separate.

This separation lets teammates in different locations access the same authorized verification mail without transferring LinkedIn cookies between laptops.

01

Connect a mailbox

The mailbox owner completes Google or Microsoft OAuth, or enters a Yahoo-generated app password.

02

Map the account

An administrator links the mailbox to the correct account using searchable account mapping.

03

Receive filtered mail

The Mail Hub classifies verification codes, password resets, security alerts, confirmations and notifications.

04

Complete login locally

The teammate copies the verified code and completes login in their own paired Companion browser session.

Security and privacy

Designed for shared operations without sharing mailbox passwords or browser cookies.

  • Google and Microsoft normal passwords never enter Account Workspace Mail Hub.
  • Provider tokens and Yahoo app passwords are encrypted at rest.
  • Only relevant user-authorized candidate messages are synchronized into the Mail Hub.
  • Verification codes are hidden from list subjects, snippets and browser notifications.
  • Code reveal, copy and message-view events are permission controlled and audited.
  • Mailbox connections can be disconnected and synchronized mail data can be deleted.
  • LinkedIn browser sessions remain local to each paired laptop.
Transparent provider access

Built for authorized business administration.

Account Workspace Mail Hub is not a consumer email client, backup tool or advertising platform. It is a private operations workspace that displays authorized verification and security messages required for account-access workflows.
